Raleigh Self-Publishing Meetup on Social Networking scheduled for April 11th.

As I’ve stated many times on this blog, publishing is easy. Selling your book is what’s hard. Selling involves marketing, and some recent Raleigh Write 2 Publish panels have stressed the need–in fact, the requirement– that authors actively market themselves and their book regardless of whether they’re self-published or traditionally published.

Surprisingly, a fair number of authors that attended these panels answered that they’re not familiar with blogging or Facebook, so I thought it would be a good idea to hold a short session that explains these tools and shows how to set them up and use them. We’ll also briefly discuss LinkedIn and Twitter.

The great thing is that these social networking sites are free, so we should be taking advantage of them!

Please join us Quail Ridge Books on Saturday, April 11th, at 5pm for the presentation and walk-through. I hope to see you there!
