I’ll be Hosting a Self-Publishing Meetup on Wednesday, July 7th, at Caribou Coffee
Hot off the heels of last week’s Self-Publishing Meetup I thought it would be a good idea to talk about Lulu & Createspace with the larger Raleigh Write to Publish Meetup Group next Wednesday evening at 7pm. This particular meetup will be held at Caribou Coffee’s smaller venue (attendance is limited to 20 people, so register now!) which should give us the opportunity to discuss some of the specific issues and questions that you have about your particular publishing project.
Assuming that the Wi-Fi gods are on our side, we’ll actually visit these sites in real-time and compare their book size options, pricing & royalties, author services, and book-publishing processes. We’ll also discuss some of the early decisions that will help you choose which site will better fit your publishing needs, as both companies offer certain advantages. As one of the founding members of Lulu I’ll try to keep my opinions unbiased!
We’ll also touch on this new revolution in ebook publishing which is taking the world by storm.
See you next Wednesday, and I look forward to helping you make your self-publishing journey a success–

Hi! my name is Henry Hutton, and I'd like to welcome you to my new website--PublishandSell.com. I'm one of the founding members of Lulu.com--the world's leading online publishing site, and served as their Online Community Director, Director of Operations and Customer Service, and Product Manager for their Lulu Studio online book-building tool. During my time at Lulu I helped hundreds of authors navigate the often confusing world of self-publishing. Not surprisingly, when we started Lulu in 2003 people referred to our free online publishing as a scam.
