Online Self-Publishing walk-through tonight at 6:30 pm, Quail Ridge Books.
DIY publishing sites like Lulu and Createspace try to make book publishing a breeze, but the truth is that it takes quite a bit of time and patience to successfully utilize these online tools. It’s also important to understand where these sites fit in terms of your overall publishing strategy before you leap head-first into them.
To help make the learning curve a little easier I’ll be doing a realtime walk-through of Lulu.com and Createspace at 6:30pm tonight at Quail Ridge Books as part of the Raleigh Write2Publish Meetup Group. If you’re interested in self-publishing your book in an efficient and economical way you might want to stop by and check it out. It’s an interactive session, so I encourage you to ask questions.
I hope to see you there!
Hi! my name is Henry Hutton, and I'd like to welcome you to my new website--PublishandSell.com. I'm one of the founding members of Lulu.com--the world's leading online publishing site, and served as their Online Community Director, Director of Operations and Customer Service, and Product Manager for their Lulu Studio online book-building tool. During my time at Lulu I helped hundreds of authors navigate the often confusing world of self-publishing. Not surprisingly, when we started Lulu in 2003 people referred to our free online publishing as a scam.
